This is a simple microscope slide holder made for collecting forensic samples in the field that need to stay flat after collection (such as blood) and during transport back to the lab. 

It fits 10 standard microscope slides and has a simple slide in lid. The slide shelves are recessed from the front so it's a little easier to grab the slides. The lid has a wider back to cover the recess and a rounded front lip to push up with your thumb. You may want to print the lid in a different color to help you identify the front of the box. I have also added the word “TOP” to help you keep the box upright. 

Print at 0.2 mm layers (or smaller, haven't tested larger) with no supports with the box opening pointing up, lid also pointing up. These print up pretty fast so you can keep a few on hand that are ready to go. Print in different colors for different students or to send out to different labs for sample collection.
