3D model Stackable Pumpkins and Ghosts by Commoner Engineering on Printables

Description

What:

These are nesting doll sets of pumpkins and ghosts containing four individual dolls in each set. These stackable sets can be used in board games such as Gobblet or tick-tack-toe. In order to use these in Gobblet, 3 complete sets of pumpkins and ghosts will be needed.

Naming Convention:

Each individual pumpkin or ghost is made up of some or all of the following: A stem (pumpkin), a shell (orange and white pieces in the photos), and an interior (black sleaves that give the background color to the facial features). The files have been named as Stacking [Pumpkin or Ghost] X of 4 [part] where 1 is the smallest and 4 is the largest. For example, Stacking Pumpkin 4 of 4 Shell is the shell for the largest pumpkin. Note that both models use the same interior parts, thus PG for Pumpkin or Ghost.

Printing:

Due to the low adhesion area and slender nature of these models, it is recommended to use rafts or other aggressive adhesion solutions. Supports are highly recommended. When printing the interiors it may be beneficial to print these together giving time for the models to cool off as the print head moves from one model to another. The tolerances are tight and require elimination of any elephant's foot (bulging caused by excessive first layer squishing). If difficulty is encountered in eliminating elephant's foot, rafts can help resolve this issue. As always, if tolerances are found to be too tight or loose, feel free to adjust using horizontal expansion/X-Y compensation.

Assembly:

The pictured models were friction fit (no glue used). Place the interior on a firm level surface with the beveled end at the top. Slide the shell down over the interior until the shell rests flat on the firm level surface. For the pumpkin, firmly press the stem into the provided cavity at the top of the shell. If the stem is loose, a drop of glue may be used to secure it.

Feedback:

I hope you find these stacking pumpkins and ghosts as fun as I have. Please let me know if you have any recommendations. As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
