3D model Conic Section Model by NkMeta on Printables

Description

This model is aimed to visually show the different graphical shapes that can be made by cutting a cone different ways. The cuts represent planes and the model can be taken apart to easily view the shape each plane makes. Learning mathematics via a visual model which is interactive is very helpful to enhance understanding of this concept.

The model requires very little support. I printed this in 6 separate prints on the Bambu Lab P1S with a 0.4mm nozzle, Bambu Lab PLA Basic White and supports on. I also used 5mm diameter X 2mm magnets with holes being 5.15mm (allowing for the tolerance of the printer).

The link to where I bought the magnets:

Wukong Round Strong Magnets 5mm X 2mm | 100 Pack, Mini Extra Strong Magnets, Neodymium Magnets for Whiteboards, Fridge, Crafts, Notice Board or Picture Magnet : Amazon.co.uk: Stationery & Office Supplies

Hope this helps!
