I use a software tool running on a Windows tablet connected to the ODBII port to diagnose and change settings on my car. Instead of holding the tablet, this allows me to hang it on the steering wheel. Designed for my Audi, which has a diameter of 36mm at the top.  Tablet width can be no more than 11mm for the standard model, but there is also a 19mm version to accommodate tablets with cases.
