Modelo 3D Hexagonal Planter(Gerald Planter) por Hammy no Printables

Descrição

I was looking for the perfect planter for Gerald, the large leafy plant pictured above.

My Gerald couldn't accept anything perfect for his planter, so I had to design it myself.

This is my result:

A modular hexagonal planter that can accommodate any small plant.

Most two-inch plants will fit in the pots; if you want bigger plants, you can scale everything up.

This planter is made to be functional and modern.

It comes in three parts:

Pots:

You can't have a planter without pots!

This model has three different-sized pots; short, medium, and tall.

You can use the tall pot for plants with a large leaf spread so they can sit above any other plant.

The medium pot could be for any plant with a little height on it, or shorter bushy pants.

Lastly, the short pot can be used for small ground cover plants that don't require much soil depth.

Each pot has a small hole in the bottom to allow excess water to flow out into the base.

Fillers:

The fillers allow you to fill all areas in the base so you don't have to do so with more plants.

The fillers come in four different sizes; short, medium, tall, and extra tall.

This allows you to have even more customization when making your own planter.

You could also put figurines on top of the fillers for even more fun!

Bases:

Lastly, the bases allow you to properly organize and catch the excess water from the pots in a simple, hexagonal way.

These bases allow the water to drain out of the designated holes in the pots.

They also allow you to organize your pots in one of four ways; reflected hexagons(2), double reflected hexagons(4), and a large honeycomb pattern(7).

There are two different bases. One of them is shallow and can be used for plants that require little water, but there is a deeper one that can be used for normal plants and can hold a bit of excess water.

Print Settings:

For all models, you should use a .4mm nozzle. Other nozzle diameters haven't been tested, but they might work.

The pots use any infill with a maximum of .25 mm layer height.

For the fillers, you can use any layer height with a high infill to keep the water in.

Lastly for the bases, you should use a .2mm layer height and a minimum of 50 percent infill to avoid water leakage.

Any community feedback is appreciated!

  • Update 11-1-2024
    • A deeper base was added to prevent excess water from leaking out.
