Logitech Webcam Holder for Ring Light with Standard Mount Connector

Project Overview

This is a 3D-printed holder I designed to securely mount a Logitech webcam onto a ring light or any setup that uses a standard screw mount (1/4"-20 thread). The goal was to create a simple, functional solution to keep the webcam aligned within the ring light for better lighting and video quality. Whether you're streaming, working remotely, or just tired of balancing your webcam on top of a monitor, this holder gets the job done by ensuring proper alignment and stability. Unlike precariously placing a webcam on a monitor, this holder keeps it securely positioned on most compatible boom arms, reducing awkward angles and bad positioning.

Design and Printing Details

• Dimensions: Designed for a Logitech webcam with dimensions around 26.92 mm x 102.11 mm x 25.91 mm.
• Printing Materials: I recommend using PETG or PLA+.
• Print Settings:
  • Layer Height: 0.2 mm
  • Infill: 20-30%
  • Supports: You'll need them for the overhanging clip areas.

Assembly Instructions

1. Insertion is quick and easy, just slide it in. 
2. Slide your Logitech webcam into the holder—it’s a very snug fit, so no wobbling. Be aware that removal for replacement or repair may require a plastic tap and something to tap with, such as a plastic hammer. This snug fit is designed to ensure maximum stability and eliminate any wobbling during use, providing a secure hold for your webcam. The extra large USB access panel in the back was designed to assist with camera removal.
3. Screw the holder onto your ring light or tripod using the standard mount.
4. Adjust the angle to get the perfect shot with great lighting.

Why I Made This

I was tired of dealing with awkward webcam setups that didn’t work well with my ring light. After trying out a few makeshift solutions, I decided to design my own holder that fits exactly how I need it to. Now, my webcam stays perfectly aligned and steady, and I can focus on the task at hand instead of fighting with my gear. This gives my web meetings the premium touch to elevate my work.
