This contraption is used to transfer the last few bits from the old, almost empty, bottle to the new one. You know, like for soaps, lotions, etc. It was inspired by the Smart Funnel (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014JPCO5U/) which, apparently, is no longer available. It can hold 2 bottles (for a long period to get those last drops) or the funnel can clip onto a bottle to hold it steady while you pour into it.
v2.0 (Jan 11, 2026) - We're proud to announce a long-overdue update to the Bottle Transfer Funnel. After a year of feedback from users I'm happy to share some much-needed improvements:
- Larger funnel sizes: This was the #1 complaint about the original version - the funnel was too small. Now you have 3 sizes available to suit your needs (XL 28mm, Large 20mm, Original 13mm). The funnel geometry was also tweaked to improve printability.
- Larger Clips: I've included a model for larger clips to hold bottles with larger openings.
- Breather Tube/Air Vent: A bunch of folks requested an air vent in the funnel to help keep things flowing. Now all 3 sizes of funnel have a breather tube/air vent.
- Shorter Funnel: The original version can be a little unstable so hopefully shrinking down the funnel will help with that (spoiler: it didn't solve the problem but I feel like it helped a little).
- Mirrored Clips: The original version used the same clip for the top and bottom and that seemed to bother some people. I've now mirrored the clips so it at least looks more even and perhaps helps with the stability.
- A1 Mini: Special print profile included for A1 Mini users.
- Redesign: The model was completely simplified and redesigned in Fusion, but no one should really care about that. It will make any future updates a lot easier though.
The idea was to create something easily printable (no supports required) with no extra parts or components, like springs or anything. To assemble it, just slide the two long posts into the funnel slot. The two small tabs on the clamps are to keep the top clip aligned within the funnel (without them it can spin out).
There seems to be some deformation if the clips are held open for an extended period. I've printed it in PLA and PETG and both materials print fine. PETG will probably resist “stretching out” better than PLA.
Version History:
v1.0 - (Jan 6, 2025) - Original Upload
v1.1 - (Feb 6, 2025) - Upgraded geometry of clips and funnel based on user feedback. This model includes larger posts to improve strength and relaxed tolerances to help improve ease of assembly.
v2.0 - (Jan 11, 2026) - Added various size clips and funnels with improved geometry.
