Descrição
I am installing a multiboard system in my office wall and i need to add a few bins to organize everything. The official bins are great but i only need to have the connection at the back to have a smooth surface at the front of the bin.
Here is my parametric design in Fusion360 where you can specify the dimensions for width, length and height. The dimensions are defined in multiboard grid units of 25mm (for openGrid support see below). So a W3xL3xH2 would have overall dimensions of 75mmx75mmx50mm. So you can have a bin as small as 1x1x1 if you need one!
Additionally i added the option to define partition dividers along the width and the length of the bin to provide more customization options.
Also check out my parametric drawers for multiboard/openGrid here: Parametric Multiboard/openGrid Drawers
To install on multiboard you will need multipoints which you can download from the official site here Multipoints — Multiboard
I have added a few examples in the print profile but you can generate your own using the included design.
I would reccommend to play a bit the the parameters and print a sample of 1x1x1 to see how it comes out first.
openGrid Support:
In order to use with openGrid you will need to change the tileSize parameter to 28mm in the customizer. You can then print the appropriate opengrid - multiboard snap and also print the corresponding multipoint (small, mid or big thread) without any other changes.
Explanation of model parameters
| Parameter Name | Units | Description |
| BinWidth | Grid Units | This defines the width of the bin along the X-axis (Left to right). 1 grid unit = 25mm |
| BinHeight | Grid Units | This defines the Height of the bin along the Z-axis (Top to bottom). 1 grid unit = 25mm |
| BinLength | Grid Units | This defines the Height of the bin along the Y-axis (Front to back). 1 grid unit = 25mm |
| WallThickness | mm | Bin wall thickness. Note: The minimum thickness for the back wall where the mounting is done is 3mm so for wall thickness of less than 3mm the back wall will always be 3mm. |
| binSideChamfer | mm | Defines the chamfer size for the left and right vertical edges |
| binTop | mm | Defines the chamfer size for the top edge |
| dividersAlongWidth | # | Defines the number of dividers to insert along the X direction. For example if you need to have two compartments then add one divider (dividersAlongWidth=1) Note: When set to 0 then no dividers are added and the bin will only have one compartment
|
| dividersAlongLength | # | Same as above but for the Y Direction |
If you find any issues or want to request a feature to add to the design let me know.
*Update 1: Uploaded new fusion parametric design to fix an issue with wallThickness > 3
*Update 2: Added OpenSCAD project file which generates the same bins as the Fusion360 file so you can customize your bins right from the browser!
Thank you
