Descrição
I designed a rugged box to replace the old, deteriorated knitting set box from KnitPro. The box is sized to hold 10 needles or pairs of needles, with each side of the double-sided tray accommodating needles up to a diameter of 12 mm. In my case, the box holds the Symfonie Collection Set, which includes needles 10 cm long but can accommodate needles up to 16 cm long. Beneath the needle tray, there is a dedicated space for storing the remaining accessories.

I used an elastic band, 8,5 mm wide, from Prym (Sport-Elastic, Article Number 910 400).

To fit the elastic band correctly inside the slim needle tray, clip it asymmetrically. Ensure the elastic clips are not stapled; otherwise, they may not fit properly.

Add the clips and pins as shown in the image.

Since my prototype tray had fewer clips between parts, I had to glue it together. The uploaded model includes 28 clips, as shown in the picture below.

The hinge and clips require six M3x30 screws (ISO 4762) and six M3 nuts (ISO 4032).

For the materials, I used PLA Matte Charcoal and Iridium Gold Metallic for the box, and PLA Matte Desert Tan for the needle tray. All materials are sourced from Bambu.
