Customizable Birthday Cake Topper

It can be printed without AMS/ AMS-Lite, just use print the “base plate” first, then add pause to the print in the slicer and change the filament to a dual or tri-colour filament.

You can personalise the first row (NAME) and the1st part of the 2nd (is) if you download the 3MF print profile.

Then just follow the steps down below:

UPDATE: THE ISSUE WITH THE “TEXT” IS FIXED NOW, JUST FOLLOW THE STEPS DOWN BELOW

Steps to do before printing:  (3mf print profile)

1. adjust on the size of the topper (if needed)

2. customize the name and font type, in the slicer switch to OBJECT mode from GLOBAL (left hand side of the screen - Bambu Studio) then on the same side of the screen select “text_shape”  then right click and select “Edit Text” from the dropdown list. A new window should pop up at the top- centre (ish) of the slicer, where you can change the “input text” and all the relevant settings) FYI: do not colour the TEXT before these steps.  

3. the 3rd step would be your colour. If you do not have  AMS, then this is the part, where you add the pause to the print at the desired layer height. This ban be down in “preview mode”, adjust the green slider at the right side, bring the little “+” in a circle down to the correct layer height, where you  want to change the filament and, then right click on the slider and select “add pause”

READ ME: (instructions for the new/ updated STL file)

1. adjust/ resize the object (if you want to)
2. switch to object mode and from the top menu select “text shape” , tailor it to your needs (1st row TEXT)
3. repeat the step above and type “is” to text input
4. colour the object and text 

FYI for 3MF and STL as well: you can print at the back of the topper by flipping the whole object  on the “Y” axis 180 degree, then repeat STL step 2 and 3, but now you have to set the text “thickness” to ZERO and the “Embedded depth” to somewhere around 0.30mm and then flip the Whole object back to -180 degree
