Tensegrity Floating Table: Art meets Physics and 3D designing. 

Have you ever seen something that looks like it's defying gravity? It's all about tension and compression! The strings pull on the sun and moon, keeping them suspended, while they push against each other to stay balanced.

Tensegrity is a principle that combines tension and compression to create stable structures. Tensegrity broken down:

• Tension: The string pulls on the sun and moon, keeping them suspended and preventing them from falling.
• Compression: The sun and moon push against each other, but because they don't touch, they create an equilibrium that keeps the table stable.
• Balance: This unique balance of force allows the table to be lightweight and strong, appearing to float.

Assembly:

1. Place the sun structure into the slot of the sun base and the moon structure into the slot of the moon base. 
2. Cut a small piece of string approximately 3 inches (I used fishing wire). Then, cut 3 strings approximately 8 inches (you will cut off any excess string in the end).
3. Start by tying a knot into the hole on the moon, then slip the rest of the string into the sun's hole (from bottom to top) and tie a knot on the sun's hole. I looped the string back down to the moon hole once more to make sure it was extra stable.
4. Once the sun and moon are connected, start by tying each string around each hole of the sun base). Then, pull the string through the 3 holes of the moon base (bottom to top). Ensure that each side is balanced and make a knot on each of the moon's holes.
5. Once everything is in place, cut off any excess string and test your floating table!

The strings are a bit difficult to assemble, but with patience, your table will be floating in no time. Perfect to add to your home decor or give us a gift and wow your friends and family.
