This is the first thing that I've designed myself, so if you find any mistakes or have any advice, please feel free to let me know!

A buddy of mine was looking at a commercial device that mounted to his fishing pole and allowed him to place his hook and lure in it to hold his line.  I decided it looked complex enough to challenge me and easy enough to succeed, so I told him to hold off and let me see if I could design it.

The final project requires two O-rings and the size will depend upon the diameter of your rod.  You can find an assortment pack here:

If you want to be able to secure your lure as well, you'll need two 6mm x 2mm magnets.  They are available here:

The magnets are friction fit into the holes, but you can add a drop of super-glue if you want them to be extra-secure.  I wasn't able to remove the magnets even though I didn't use glue, so it shouldn't be necessary, but won't hurt to add.
