Adjustable Mobile Phone Stand
This Adjustable Mobile Phone Stand is a compact remix of my earlier Adjustable Tablet Stand v2.0.0, redesigned specifically for mobile phones. While the overall concept and mechanisms remain familiar, the proportions have been carefully reworked to better suit smaller devices.
The stand allows you to comfortably rest your mobile phone on a desk, countertop, or workbench, making it ideal for video calls, media consumption, recipes, or charging while in use.
Key Features
- Height Adjustment
The shaft extends smoothly using a rack and pinion mechanism, with a maximum extension of 40 mm for added stability and a compact footprint. - Full Tilt Control
The phone plate can be tilted up to 90 degrees thanks to a robust spur gear system, allowing precise viewing angles in portrait or landscape orientation. - Compact Base Design
Compared to the tablet version, the base aperture is significantly smaller, optimized for mobile phone weight and size while maintaining excellent rigidity. - Tool-Free Adjustments
Once assembled, height and tilt can be adjusted easily without tools.
Assembly Hardware (Required)
- 4 × M2 x 8 mm machine screws + nuts
Used to secure the phone plate to the adapter - 1 × M6 x 35 mm machine screw (optional)
Used to lock the plate angle to the adapter. You can print the included hex bolt and nut, but a metal M6x35 would work better.

Printing Notes
- Designed to be easy to print, with supports required.
- PLA, PETG, or ABS all work well depending on your environment.
- For smoother gear operation, use a slightly lower layer height and ensure good bed adhesion.
This model is perfect if you liked the adjustable mechanics of the tablet stand but wanted a smaller, phone-optimized version with the same level of control and stability.

Version 2.0 of the Adjustable Tablet Stand introduces a major redesign focused on improved stability, precision control, and versatility. Perfect for work, entertainment, or hands-free use, this stand now provides smoother adjustments and stronger support for tablets of various sizes and orientations.

🔄 Compatibility & Assembly Notes
The device plate from previous versions (v1.x) remains fully compatible with the new v2.0 adapter, so you can reuse it without any modifications. However, the new thicker plate in v2.0 requires slightly longer screws for proper fastening.
- v1.x plate: uses 4 × M3x8 flat head screws
- v2.0 thicker plate: uses 4 × M3x10 flat head cap screws

To assemble, you’ll need the following hardware:
- 4 × M3x10 flat head screws with 4 M3 nuts (to secure the adapter to the plate)
- 1 × M8x50 slotted screw with a washer and hex nut (for connecting the adapter to the telescopic shaft and enabling the swivel mechanism)
Both plate versions can be mounted interchangeably on the new stand, offering flexibility and easy upgrades.

This major update brings a larger, more stable base, rack & pinion height and swivel adjustments, and a thicker plate with clamp to hold tablets securely in horizontal or vertical orientation. Print with 0.20 mm layers, 6 walls, 25% gyroid infill, and tree supports. Bonus tip: fill the pedestal base with lead shot for extra stability! A big leap in precision and performance!

- Supports: Enable Tree Support (critical regions only)
- Plate Clamp: Set both X–Y hole and contour compensation to 0.0 mm for best fit
⚙️ Bonus Tip – Weighted Base for Extra Stability
For maximum stability, you can fill the pedestal base with heavy metal, such as #5 round lead shot (available here).
To do this:
- Set sparse infill density to 0% for the base.
- Add a pause before the pedestal base is sealed (around layer 94 at 0.20 mm layer height).
- When the print pauses, fill the cavity with the lead shots, then resume printing to seal them in place.
This version delivers smoother adjustments, stronger support, and superior balance — making it the most advanced iteration of the Adjustable Tablet Stand yet!
Adjustable iPad/Tablet Stand v1.0.1
The Adjustable Tablet Stand has been improved with two key enhancements for better stability and compatibility:
- Anti-Slip TPU Feet: The pedestal now includes three TPU feet to prevent sliding on smooth or mirror-like surfaces, ensuring a more stable and secure setup.
- Enhanced Device Plate: A redesigned plate now supports iPads/Tablets up to 15mm thick (previously limited to 10mm), making it compatible with a wider range of devices, including those with protective cases.
These updates enhance usability, making the stand more versatile and reliable for various setups!

Assembly Instructions:
To assemble, you’ll need the following hardware:
- 4 x M3x8 flat head screws with 4 M3 nuts (to secure the adapter to the plate).
- 1 x M8x50 slotted screw with a washer and hex nut (for connecting the adapter to the telescopic shaft for the swivel mechanism).
- 1 x M10x20 slotted screw (for adjusting the telescopic shaft height).
First attach the adapter to the plate using the four M3x8 screws and nuts. Then connect the adapter to the shaft using a
M8x50 screw, an M8 washer and M8 nut. I provided a printable version of them, but it's better if you find a steel screw,
washer and nut.
Finally, insert the shaft into the pedestal and use one of the three threaded holes to adjust the stand height, and lock
in place using an M10x20 screw (also provided as a printable model).
