Finding under-the-desk mounts for notebooks that are both compact and functional can be a challenge. Many existing options are bulky, lack sufficient strength, or block access to essential ports. To solve this, I created mounting brackets that are optimized for strength by levering proper print orientation and stronger circular design.

Each bracket is lightweight (20g of filament) yet sturdy enough to securely hold a notebook. The design fits devices up to 17.5mm thick, but it can be easily modified to accommodate other sizes, making it versatile for various setups. The brackets include four 4mm screw holes for secure mounting, but I’ve also successfully used 10cm strips of Tesa Powerbond tape for an easy, drill-free installation.

Using tape has the added advantage of precise positioning. Simply attach the brackets, place your notebook in them to align, then remove the notebook to firmly press the brackets into place. For best results, wait a few moments before applying weight again.

These mounts keep all ports accessible and provide a minimalist, clutter-free solution for under-desk notebook storage. Check out the photo for an example setup!
