Modelo 3D Modular Stackable Paint Trays por kevinum en MakerWorld

Descripción

This is version 2 of my stackable paint rack design for Army Painter paints; this version has pull-out drawers which help keep your workbench less cluttered and now fits Army Painter, Vallejo, Citadel bottles, and Tamiya 35mm paint jars.

There are modular trays for 24 bottle dropper style bottles (Army Painter & Vallejo), 12 Citadel paint pots, 12 Tamiya 35mm jars, and a storage tray. Print what you need and stack them up!

Note that it may be difficult to read the bottle labels so consider using bottle topper swatches (I love the Orcs toppers linked below) and it'll be really easy to find the colour you need.

Print the lower rack with legs and handles, then as many regular style racks depending on how high you want to go. I recommend only having a stack of 3 because any higher and it gets harder to access the paints while you are seated. Then print a paint or storage tray for each rack. There are end-stops that fit snuggly to stop the paint tray from coming out of the rack. The top storage tray is optional (but very handy!).

The side-handles make the rack easier to lift off the workbench. Note that there are two racks with handles, the narrower one is for smaller printers (210mm width). The entire rack fits neatly in my cupboard when not in use!

The support columns fit a bit loose and should be glued in place (see photo). If your bottle swatches are higher than the Orcs or you don't use any swatches, scale the support column vertically to suit your need. I don't recommend gluing the top storage tray in place just in case you want to expand the rack another level higher.

I printed all pieces with these settings:

Layer Height: 0.20mm

Infill: 15% Gyroid

Top Layers: 3

Bottom Layers: 3

Supports: No (make sure your printer can print a span of about 10mm without issues)
Brim: No (but if your support columns tip over or you have warping issues I suggest using a Brim)

The Orc swatches I use are located here: [https://www.printables.com/model/322332-bottle-cap-swatch](https://www.printables.com/model/322332-bottle-cap-swatch)

Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions on this and my other models and the boosts too! If you have any ideas for improvement run them by me :)

Enjoy and paint on!
