Modelo 3D ODROID H3 minimalistic case por Timon no MakerWorld

Descrição

This is my take on an ODROID H3 / H3+ Case. It is inspired by the Mac mini and houses the ODROID H3 along with a 120mm fan and a MeanWell Power Supply (75W is massively overrated, the 35W variant should also fit and give you a bit of extra space).

The whole case is designed with quite tight clearances, so make sure your printer is tuned well. Assembly is not very easy as everything is quite tight to minimise the footprint. It does all fit together though and there is enough room for airflow. If you use common sense there should be no issues.

The only gotcha is the Power Button - the GPIO pins of the H3 are inaccessible once it’s inside the case, so I recommend adding a plug to the cable that is connecting the power button. This way you can plug everything into GPIO while the H3 is out of the case and then just plug the button in later. The button can only be fully mounted after the H3 tray is secured, otherwise the screw won’t fit.

Be careful when you wire up the PSU. The voltages can and will kill you if you aren’t cautious. If you’re unsure talk to a professional.

I’ve printed mine out of Bambu grey matte PLA (for the other shell), Bambu black ABS (for SBC Tray & PSU mount) & TPU (stand). The SBC Tray & PSU mount require supports (tree recommended), supports for the shell are optional, but will improve quality.

Assembly

  1. Print all the parts (bottom and SBC Insert require supports, main case can be printed without supports, I recommend supporting the main cutout though)
  2. Mount the Fan with 4 M3x18 BHCS to the top of the main case
  3. Mount the PSU to the bottom part
  4. Cut off the sides of the C6 Inlet until it fits in the hole
  5. Use a bunch of hot glue / resin to secure everything into place
  6. Do the cables for the 230V side (from C6 inlet to the PSU)
  7. Solder some cables to the power inlet of the H3 (positive is the middle pin, negative is the whole case (solder negative cable to the right side, since there isn’t enough space on the top))
  8. Mount the H3 into the SBC Insert
  9. Slide the tray into the main base (connect fan PWM cable while you still can)
  10. Secure Tray with 2 M3x18 BHCS screws
  11. Mount & Connect the Power Button
  12. Connect the cables to the PSU
  13. Screw in the Base with 8x M3x6 countersunk screws
