D&D Miniature Risers!

I downloaded an excellent Aarakocra mini & noticed there was an empty hole underneath. Then, I thought, “What if I could make accessories that would plug unto my mini?!?” My character is ALWAYS flying & it is so hard to keep describing his altitude & also visualize & characterize that dynamic. So risers that express my character's altitude are the PERFECT fit!

I made 4 different heights 5ft, 10ft, 20ft, 30ft (the tallest round number that I can fit on my A1 mini). These are roughly to scale for the 1", or 25mm = 5ft play scale typical to D&D games. These also plug together so you can add them together to make intermediate heights. They have a little, elegant sign on them that describes the height of the riser, thogh the font is a little small, so your mileage may vary.

The hole under the character is 2mm deep & 10mm diameter. The tops kind of pop into the bottom, though your fit will definitely vary based on your printer, speeds, material, over/under extrusion - everything! So just verrrry gently scale the "5ft" model up & down until you get it just right. You want it to be snug enough to stay, but easy enough to take off. Once you figure out scaling, then print the others. These are really cheap & pretty fast. I print them on the “silent” 50% speed because they are so tall & wobbly. I also use the finest setting to try to get the letters to show up.

The 20ft & 30ft are so tall that they need a couple of stabilizers (about every 50mm). I have the supports that worked for me added in my sliced .3mf files. Could definitely make this better (snap in, anyone?), but figured I'd just share rather than sit on it forever (I'm busy!).
