This compact clock, measuring just 90x90x50mm, is perfect for your desk or table! I designed the back to be easily removable, making battery changes a breeze. The clock comes with three different dial options to choose from. The 24-hour dial requires an AMS for printing, as it uses three different colors, but the other two dials can be printed without an AMS.

Printing

Printing all the parts is quite straightforward. The housing and back cover require minimal support material, which is easy to remove. All other parts can be printed without any supports. However, be extra careful when removing the clock hands from the printer, as they may bend if they are still hot!

Printing with no AMS

To print the dial in two colors without an AMS, you’ll need to pause the print once to manually change the filament. To do this, remove all but one filament from the slicer.

After that slice the Dial file.

Then go to layer 6 and add an pause.

When you start your print, it will automatically pause at the designated layer. When this happens, manually change the filament using your printer's menu, then resume the print.

Assembly

The assembly process requires no additional hardware beyond the clock components kit and possibly a drop of glue. You’ll only need the clock unit and the included hex nut from the kit.

Start by pressing the nut in the backplate.

Then put the spacer on the clock unit.

Now screw the backplate on the clock unit.

Then place the dial on top; the orientation does not matter.

Now place everything inside the housing, ensuring the four 'poles' of the backplate align with and fit into the four holes in the housing.

Insert the AA battery and attach the back cover. The back cover should simply click into place.

For the final step, attach the clock hands in this order: hours, minutes, and then seconds. Finally, set the time, and you're all done!
