Also let me preface this saying that I'm 13 and my CAD skills are pretty awful so don't expect much.
I haven't built it yet, currently in the process of printing off the parts but I will upload a photo when it gets built, this is the second version of this, the original was made of foamboard and was not very durable so I'm rebuilding it, however even in those tests it worked very well. If you want instructions then just post a comment asking and I‘ll update it with some. There are supposed to be rudders attached to the rods at the back for steering but they aren’t on the Onshape doc because I can't work out how to model them and they need to have paperclips (or Music wire if your fancy) stabbed into them for steering, so Foamboard or Cardboard will work just as well if not better. Also note that I have not intended for the big flat bottom section of the body to be 3d printed, I'm planning to make it from 5mm Plywood, but if you want to waste an obnoxious amount of filament then feel free to print it. Print it in any filament you want im just using some random PLA colours cause thats all I have.
BOM is as follows :
Paper Clips or Music wire
7mm rod of any material (mine are just garden poles made of wood from my local garden centre)
90mm EDF
9G SG90 servo
40A ESC
Bike Inner Tube (Or Bin Bag Im still working on that bit)
2250mah xt60 3s Lipo (definitely don't need one with this much capacity, it was just a good deal)
Futaba T6L Sport Transmitter and Receiver (Any radio will work, just needs at least two channels, I want to test it with an RC car one at some point)
Total cost was around £60 ($75) not including radio but you could probably get it down to more like £40 ($50).
All bought off Amazon (except rods)
