Descrição
This is a cage platform I made to help my rats move around the cage. They use it as steps to travel between the floors of the cage and as an entrace platform. You're gonna need two 1/4x3/4 or 1/4x1/2 inches bolts and nuts per platform. The profiles includes two version of the bolt's knobs, use the one you like the most.
There are two version of the model
- The exposed version have two holes that will allow you to slide the nut inside the platform after the print is complete. This is the safest way to do this.
- The hidden version needs to be paused at a specific layer just before the holes gets covered by a push trough wall. The pause is already set up in the profile. During this pause, you will add the nuts inside the holes then resume the print (see picture below).
![]() | WARNING: When printing the hidden version, there is a risk of damaging the printer. The holes for the nuts are only 6mm deep, so to be safe, make sure you are using nuts that have a height of 5.5mm or less. Make sure that the nuts are pushed all the way down the holes and that they do not exceed the height of the last printed layer. If the nuts exceed the height of the last printed layer, your toolhead might hit it and get damaged. |
Instructions for the exposed version:

** Depending on your printer's tolerance, the holes for the nuts could be a little too tight or a little too loose. If it's too tight, use a heatgun to soften the plastic before pushing the nut in. If it's too loose, add some glue to make sure the nuts don't slide out.
Instructions for the hidden version:
