Gridfinity Simple Base, half grid - Gridfinity Master Collection

Sometimes the grid just does not match the targeted use, for example a drawer and there is a lot of wasted space. Here comes a grid with a half step at the end in handy. These need specialized half size boxes but allow for way better space usage. I created two versions one open ended (that also allows regular boxes to be put at the end) and slightly sturdyer closed ones..

I created this collection to facilitate easy and quick printing of single (simple) Gridfinity bases, with a half size connector at the end. Each grid has its own named print plate, making selection of the correct size quick and easy. This collection includes all bases that fit on the 256mmx256mm build plate of a Bambulab printer.

The bases are designed to be as compatible with any Gridfinity system as possiblewhile keeping it simple. They have no slots for magnets and use minimal filament. Neighboring grids can be attached using e.g. a drop of superglue. The default print profile doesn’t require brims for adhesion.

Usage is pretty simple: Select the build plate with the base size you want from the overview and send it to the printer. Ideal for beginners or a quick print job from the mobile app.

The size of the base is in the 42mm grid of Gridfinity. Meaning all grid outside dimensions are a multiple of 42mm + 21mm at one side for the half grid.

I can highly recommend this tool for generating bins that are tailor made for your application. The possible combinations of Gridfinity are nearly endless. After you have all your bases and bins this is a great tool.

I just created all the bins in this collection (288 so far and counting) to ensure the same parameters are used and organized them in an easy to manage and print manner. I created this collection to make it easy for myself and others to quickly send a bin request to a printer. It has proven practical for me to quickly request missing bins without having to browse through huge archive folders.
