Just a simple piece to secure a 2x4 into the floor (for shelving or something where a 2x4 is supporting the weight down to the ground). This shouldn't be used as the only means of supporting the structure, just as a way to keep a leg from being knocked out of place in the event it gets kicked or bumped into.
