I really have been wanting a bigger storage container for my shelves, other than my own 3D printed stackable bins I sell (Slide It). So I made this one. This one is also stackable and its size is 9.16" deep x 8.98" long x 5.12" tall.
I actually had to scale the original file down to 95% to fit on the P1S print bed. I think it'll fit at scaled down to 98% as well.
I am printing this now, its not finished yet, so far so good.
This print does need supports (2 ledges in the corners, will upload a pic). and it takes about 500g of filament. I dont think I'll sell this on my shop, but dont mind giving it to the community if you're so inclined to do the 10h 31 mins print time and the 490.00g of filament it'll suck up lol.
Uploaded sliced files showing the thinner walls and uploaded screen shots of the follow scaled down slicer settings, 25%, 50%, 75%.
Im still working on a test print for the thinner walls, as soon as I get that completed I'll upload that picture, those files and a 3D print profile as well.
I'm sure if I had a 0.6 or 0.8 nozzle it would print much faster.
Thanks for looking :)
***Edit I did finish this print (Pics uploaded). And for how its designed its looking great. Im printing a second one to test the fitment of the stacking feature.
I will leave this uploaded, however Im also going to work on a 2nd version thats thinner and will print faster and with less filament.
****** 2ND EDIT! I have tested the stacking feature and it WORKS!!! It is nice and snug, doesnt wiggle around. Now I have 2 (er… 1 & ½ - ran out of filament) of these things printed at 95% size and its great to have so much storage :)
Im also thinking of adding a lid and also maybe a label slot? On the front maybe? Let me know what you think.
