Remixed with the following changes;

• Added variable speed control
• Metal gear motor (vs stepper motor) and modified the motor mount area to fit
• Smaller 11 tooth gear to slow it down
• Added “plastic brick company” wheels (can't use their name) as bearings to help smooth the platter rotation

A few notes:

• Modifications and DIY work are required to make this work. The motor must be glued in place (suggest using Goop glue). A picture was provided using a test gear print and paper sheets to get the spacing correct
• This version uses a USB-C connector, but you can use whatever
• If you don't have wheels, you can use 15mm(OD) x 6mm(W) x 3mm (ID) bearings (needs 4)
• !! - the motor is noisy, so be warned if you are looking to record audio. Will likely look for a quieter motor option, or look at other stepper options

Required components:

• 6V Gear motor (suggest 30 RPM)
• ESP32C3 Dev Board (Suggest getting the expansion board as well)
• H-Bridge Motor Driver Board (MX1508)
• 3mm stainless dowl rods
• 15mm(OD) x 6mm(W) x 3mm (ID) bearings (needs 4)
• 100K POT
