BSTRD-10 Carbine: Shell-ejecting, Bolt-Action Blaster.
IMPORTANT: This is a toy that fires a projectile! Never fire at pets or unwilling participants. This can damage drywall and eyeballs, use caution and protective eyewear. Never brandish this as a real weapon or bring it out in public. Just because you know it's a toy, doesn't mean other people will. Make sure to check your local laws regarding replica firearms/ toy guns. Enjoy, be safe, and be smart!
The BSTRD-10 Carbine is a toy blaster with realistic shell-ejection and some cool extra features. It uses a reusable printed projectile that is compatible with my last three shell ejecting blasters. I will continue to update this model with updated parts, documentation and new attachments/part variations, but the .step files are available for anyone who wants to make their own changes! This is a bit of an advanced project that requires a decent amount of filament and extra hardware so make sure you're ready for that and your filament settings are well tuned before starting the prints. Good luck and please reach out to me with any concerns, questions, comments and requests.

FILAMENT SELECTION: The materials I have recommended for each part in the above table are based on my findings with filaments I have personally used. Other filaments (PETG, ABS, ASA, PLA w/ different fillers) are probably fine for the frame and cosmetic pieces but PLA or preferably PLA+ is highly recommended for the striker and bolt as they require a good mix of strength and flexibility. PETG is too brittle to be used for the bolt and striker and will shatter quickly.
BOLT & STRIKER:

The bolt and striker will wear down over time due to the sheer amount of force exerted on them. Luckily, they are fairly easy to print and don't take much filament. The striker tip will slowly flatten over repeated impact with the back of the projectile which may cause the shots to become less accurate and less powerful. I am working on a version of the striker that uses a metal dowel and set screw but this will require a little time and testing.
The extractor arm is the most important part of this design as it hold the casing in place while firing and pulls it out after. If it is broken, the blaster will not function. Dry firing (firing the gun with no projectile loaded) will put significant stress on this part and may cause it to break, but it will eventually need replacement after regular use. To safely de-cock the gun and avoid dry firing, remove the magazine and pull the bolt all the way back. Pull the trigger to release the striker and slowly guide the bolt forward by hand.

Sourcing Screws:
Screw kits with more than enough screws of each length can be found on amazon or AliExpress an example link can be found below.
They can also be bought by individual length from Maker's Supply.

| 0.8 - 1.0 mm | 10 mm | 90 - 100 mm | Striker |
Sourcing Springs:
I purchased all of the larger springs from AliExpress and the smaller ones from Maker's Supply but they could also be sourced from pens and mechanical pencils. You will not be able to find springs of the exact lengths required for the bolt, magazine and striker so it is best to buy 300mm long springs and then cut them to the correct size using a ruler and wire cutters. Below is a link to the store I used but there are many other vendors that sell the same or similar springs.
You do not necessarily need springs with those exact dimensions and step files are available in the raw model files for you to adjust parts as needed for the springs you have available.
TOOLS:
- Allen Key or Screwdriver (Depending on the screw head).
- Small metal file.
- Sandpaper.
- Wire Cutters.
- Electrical Tape.
- Superglue (Optional).
