For the MakerWorld Board Games contest, I wanted to make something useful for our own home, that could serve multiple functions.

Introducing “MESA-220”!

This versatile item can take square-shaped board games to the next level. It elevates the playing field, and provides storage options underneath. The best part is that it supports any 220x220mm board, which can be swapped out depending on what is being played! Simply drop the board in place. It can come out easily with the finger-hole on the bottom, accessible thru the center drawer (see one of my photos).

Look out for other uploads of some games I've sized for compatibility (this package includes a basic 8x8 checkerboard, which you can use with any appropriately-sized pieces to play chess/checkers, or a similar game.

Printing:

Printed on Bambu Lab P1S with 0.4mm nozzle and AMS, on Textured PEI Plate with the following filaments:

1. Bambu PLA Basic (Black)
2. Bambu PLA Basic (Bambu Green)
3. Voxelab PLA Pro (Purple)

I do NOT recommend using PLA Matte for the main body, as there is significant bridging and I find it doesn't do well with it!

Test your bridging capability first and use a material you are confident in!
