This is a spool holder design for the A1 mini meant to shrink the space footprint of the overall printer. The spool holder attaches to the stock 3d printer's original mount and places the spool parallel to the x-axis (. This design saves space in comparison to the stock spool holder, which veers off at an angle making for an unwieldly and inefficient use of space.

Some important considerations are: the maximum height is lowered due to the clearances of the spool holder and the bed slinger (to 80mm). Someways to work around this limitation going forward is to place models in the back of the build plate so that the spool holder does not obstruct the print process.

Another important thing: during the print, the first part will be a small “lip” piece for the overhang. This will be printed and placed on standby for the second print, which will be the main spool holder. When the pause on the second print activates, make sure to place the “lip” inside of the slot, then resume printing. This will make it so that there is no need for printing support for the cantilever, and the print continues.
