Frankensteins Flipper Zero Case is a full-fledged case inspired by a bunch of different cases and parts. Basically I felt like all existing cases I could find had me choose between either bringing the wifi dev board or the charging cable, and I wanted both – so I decided to make a case where all of it would fit. While at it, I made the hinge mechanism into a filament hinge, and the clasps to match, so that no hardware is needed. Using a lucent orange filament creates a stunning glow in the dark effect which I think suits the magical Flipper Zero device.
Please note: in the 3mf file there are two different solutions for carrying the cable – one in plastic, that kind of acts as a pocket on top of the dev board insert, and another one that is a dupe of the foam board that the Flipper Zero comes with. The latter should be printed in TPU or any other flexible material for ease of use, as a plastic version isn't very practical to move when needing to access the wifi dev board.
I also advice you to adapt the layer height of the “Flipper” text stl part depending on what color filament you print the box in. In white, a 0.20 layer height for the text is enough, but for a black case, the orange kind of blends into the black making the text look brown and dull unless a layer height of 1.20 or more is used. To make it flush against the case simply merge the lid and the text. This of course means a few color changes in the very beginning of the print, but I find it worth the end result.
If printing the “molded” cable holder in PLA, please be mindful of the box shrinking. The cable holder is made to fit the case precisely when printed in TPU, so for PLA it may be just a tad too big if printed as is. Resizing it to 99.7% might do the trick.
The filament hinge and clasp pins can be somewhat hard to fit in, so I recommend carefully using pliers and to very slightly cut off a corner of the filament before pushing it in to make it resemble a needle. If needed, depending on your filament choice (PETG or PLA) for the box, you can adapt the size of the clasp pins to make them fit better.
