This is an extendable back scratcher designed for easy portability. Compact enough to fit in your pocket, it can be pulled out and extended to its full length when you need relief from an itch that's hard to ignore. The central 'print-in-place' section features three interlocking parts that assemble seamlessly during printing. The outer cylinder includes threading, allowing it to lock securely to the separately printed handle. Additionally, the handle has a tapered boss at the base that acts as a lock when collapsed, preventing unintended extension.

The precision of the layer lines and slight tapering on both the inner and outer sections create a tight, secure lock.

This ensures it stays firmly in place during use without requiring excessive force. If extended too forcefully, the interlocking mechanism can be a bit challenging to collapse, demonstrating the solid grip of the design.

I fixed early print issues by adding a rotation blocker at the base and setting the cylinder tops to 0 tolerance. After printing, just twist the interlocking parts to break them free, then print and attach the handle. Use it yourself or gift it to a friend!
