My kids love minecraft and we had an extra LED light strip (270mm x 25mm) around the house so I decided to make a minecraft sword to go over the LED light strip. The solid pieces are all PLA but the translucent “light” pieces are PETG.
The base had to be split into two pieces to fit onto the A1 mini print bed, so I utilized the dovetail cut option and glued it together afterwards.

Assembly instructions:
- Glue the two base pieces together
Next connect the following black pieces into the hilt guard.

Next push in the remaing black pieces in this area and add the solid purple pieces. *Note the orientation of the large purple pieces. the notch should point towards the light strip hole.

Next add the purple pieces along the edge of the blade. Again, orient the pieces so the notch is facing the light cutout. I recommend adding a small amount of super glue on these to keep them in place.

Next I would recomment taking each translucent piece and gluing in the solid purple piece below it.

- While all of those dry, I would feed the light through the hole and mount it on the wall. There are two nail holes for mounting.
After it is mounted, then start adding the translucent & solid pieces in the center of the blade.

From here you can add the large purple piece on the top and the purple square right below, as well as the short brown piece in the hilt.

Now the final part is to route the light cord through the hilt. The two remaining brown pieces as well as one small black piece and the large black piece are all notched to easily route the cord.

Add the last black piece and the center purple piece and you have completed this build!
