Modelo 3D Re-engineered ⅓ Modular Filament Spool Subdivider por Cernott no MakerWorld

Descrição

Re-engineered ⅓ Modular Filament Spool Subdividers for Bambu Lab-spools

After a painstaking wait, the reengineered Modular Filament Spool Subdivider-set is finally here!

This filament spool subdivider drops into Bambu Lab-spools to allow storage of three different types of filament in one spool. This is an efficient and useful way to store leftovers or samples of filament of up to about 250g.

Other models in the set have capacities of about 400g(½ subdivider) and about 550g(⅔ subdivider). Check them out!

This model is reengineered completely from scratch – i went through a bunch of iterations, feature ideas, and math in order to nail the locking mechanism and make the filament gauges as precise as possible. The model is based on my previous iteration, which itself is a remix, reverse engineered and redrawn from @giuliolibrando's Bambu Lab Modular Multi Filament Spool.

Features of my reengineered model:

  • NEW: No more threads! The subdivider halves now snap together using a twist-snap mechanism based on this video
This means the model is much easier to print and easier to assemble and disassemble.
  • NEW: By popular demand, the subdividers now come in three different sizes (⅓, ½, and ⅔)
  • NEW: Built-in filament gauge, showing a rough indication of how many grams of filament is left on the spool
  • NEW: Indicators making it easy to distinguish different sizes (⅓, ½, and ⅔) from one another
  • NEW: The fixation holes are now staggered, so you don't have to attach two subdividers to each other, to fix your filament
  • NEW: All walls are now slightly thicker, to make the subdivider more sturdy and durable (at the cost of a bit of filament capacity)
  • NEW: Dedicated spot to place labels, allowing for labeling which polymer is on the spool (max label size: 33x12mm)
  • Fixation holes in the rim of the spool, allowing filament to be fixated without using a filament clip/stopper. The holes are curved in order to make sure even crusty filament does not snap from being bent excessively.
  • An angled insertion/attachment hole for fixing the filament when winding up filament, allowing for crusty and brittle filament to be wound without the end snapping off. This also holds the filament better than with the normal hole, where there is nowhere for the filament-end to go.
  • A slightly larger spool diameter, fitting better with the edge of the bambu-spool (allowing for slightly more filament).
  • Fixed the locking-tab not being centered, causing wierd-looking-ness, if the subdividers are not oriented the same.
  • Inclusion of the raw model-file (in Fusion360-format) with easy-to-edit parameters.

Assembly

The two halves of a subdivider snap together, and can only go together in one way. Between pairs of subdividers, place an alignment tab.

The subdividers easily slide onto empty Bambu Lab (or compatible) spools.

Note: Remove the cardboard part first, if using a spool from Bambu Lab.

Please see the original model for very cool assembly instructions HERE.

The base-part is compatible with ends of all sizes ⅓, ½, and , from this system.

The reengineered model is compatible side by side with the original remix and the original model, but the individual halves can not be mixed and matched together across systems.

Print Settings:

The subdividers in the images are printed without support from 'Bambu Lab White ASA' at 0.24mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle on a Bambu Lab X1C using the settings embedded in the Bambu Studio 3MF.

Tip: If you are planning to dry filament directly on these spools, you should print them from a heat-resistant polymer, such as ASA
