The 3D-printed parts replicate the essential components of a classic Wimshurst machine, with some modern materials like aluminum foil/tape, copper wire, and soldering wick to facilitate the generation and collection of static electricity.
High Voltage Alert: This machine can generate high voltages that are enough to give you a nasty shock! While it won’t hurt much, it’s definitely enough to make your hair stand on end—literally. So keep your fingers away from the disks and electrodes when cranking the handle. Shocking behavior is discouraged!
