The barrel is longer and smaller in diameter which allows for smaller and wider spools, increasing the compatibility of spools that can be placed behind the machine for a cleaner desk. The edge is angled to prevent the spool from falling off and the spool holder provides a simple, minimalist design that gets the job done.
