Modelo 3D Bambu Lab P1S Simple LED Riser (Remix) por fliptoback no MakerWorld

Descrição

This remix combines elements from two great 3D models, with full credit to the following creators:

  1. Bambu P1S/X1 Simple LED Riser by smittyrn ([https://makerworld.com/en/models/167987?from=search#profileId-184418](https://makerworld.com/en/models/167987?from=search#profileId-184418))
  2. Glass Separation Without Riser by Imperator_1972 ([https://makerworld.com/en/models/91789?from=search#profileId-98216](https://makerworld.com/en/models/91789?from=search#profileId-98216))

While there are many LED risers available for the Bambu Lab P1S, I wasn’t initially planning to create another one. However, I couldn’t find a model that met my specific needs. My criteria for the LED riser were as follows:

  1. Slim and Low Profile: The riser should align seamlessly with the overall dimensions of the P1S, ensuring it looks integrated when positioned on top of the printer. Many existing models lacked the depth I wanted.
  2. Built-in LED Grooves: I wanted grooves for mounting the LED strips, allowing for easy sliding without the need for glue.
  3. Straight 90° LED Strip: Unlike the 45° angled risers, I found the 90° setup better suited my needs. The 45° angle made it difficult to manage the LED strip around the corners.

Based on these requirements, smittyrn's LED riser was nearly perfect, but it lacked an SD card access hole and the grooves for the LED strip. On the other hand, Imperator_1972's design had a right footprint and SD card slot access but used a 45° angle for the LED strip, requiring glue to mount the strip—something I wanted to avoid.

Ultimately, I combined elements from both models to create a design that met all my requirements. I also changed the access hole for the LED cables to suit what I wanted.

Printing Notes:

I printed the model in PLA, as it’s my usual material of choice. However, for more heat-resistant prints, PETG or ABS might be better, though I haven’t tested those yet. I am of course concern that the LED riser when printed in PLA may melt/soften when the printing chamber exceeds 50degC but for me those higher temperature PETG prints are for those occasional prints only. I plan to just remove the LED riser during prints that require higher temperatures.

The assembly consists of 4 pieces, and I found it best to print each piece separately. While the pieces are still warm from the print bed, they snap together more easily, as the joints expand slightly due to the heat. Once cooled, the pieces are much harder to fit together, and attempting to use a mallet nearly damaged them.
