This puzzle holds a special place in my heart — it was the very first one I encountered many years ago. Now, with a 3D printer at my disposal and countless other puzzles to choose from, I decided to recreate this one to relive a piece of my childhood.

What sets this puzzle apart is its relaxed, enjoyable nature.

Unlike many brain teasers that push you to think deeply, this one allows you to solve it at your own pace. It's perfect for unwinding, as it’s more about experimenting through trial and error than overthinking.

The goal is simple: fit the uniquely shaped pieces into the frame.

But here's the fun part — there’s more than one solution. In fact, there are 1,640 different ways to solve it!

Printing

• For my print, I used PLA Silk for the puzzle pieces on a smooth plate, giving both sides a nearly identical finish.
• The frame, on the other hand, was printed using matte gray PLA on a textured plate, creating a striking contrast between the pieces and the frame.
• While the lid isn’t necessary for gameplay, it adds a polished, premium touch — making the puzzle an ideal gift. I opted for transparent PETG on a smooth plate with a holographic effect. When hit by sunlight, it shimmers in all the colors of the rainbow! The semi-transparent lid looks sleek and feels much more refined than cut-out designs typically used for saving material.

Printing this puzzle is straightforward. I used the ironing function on my P1S to achieve a smooth, glossy finish on all surfaces, but turning it off can cut the print time in half if speed is a priority.

For the bottom layer, I selected a concentric fill pattern, giving it a unique, signature look.
