M5Stack Cardputer Mag-Mount

I designed this magnetic mount to bolt to the Rubigrid inside my truck. It prints in 3 pieces. First, the AMPS mount base, which can be installed on an appropriately sized Rubigrid or mounted to a dash with VHB tape. (If mounting to a grid style base, (4) m5 x 15 screws with some washers and nylock nuts are also needed.) Second, the Post which acts as the support and pivot for the mount. Last is the magnetic cradle which hold the M5Stack Cardputer. It is recommended that all of these parts be printed in PETG or something even more temperature/UV resistant. Mine has been printed with Bambulab Black PETG.

Two 10 x 3 mm round magnets are needed for this project. Once the cradle portion is printed and the inside of the magnet holes cleaned of support material, they can be snugly press fit into the recess. Glue can also be added if you prefer.

To assemble, gently press the post into the round hole on the back of the cradle AT LEAST HALF WAY! This part is designed to be friction fit into both of its mating parts. After the post is inserted snugly into the magnetic cradle and the AMPS mount is secured to the dash, the other side of the post can be friction fit into the AMPS mount.
