Modelo 3D L.A.T (Layer Adhesion Tester) por Claudio "CloClo" no MakerWorld

Descrição

Who knows how many times all of us have already come across a print that broke during use due to poor adhesion of the layers.
Now, it is known that the factors that produce better layers adhesion of extruded filament are multiple and depend on factors such as temperature, speed, properties of the filament itself, etc. But the parameter that in the end is common to all filaments and all printers, on which we can actually intervene, is the height of the layers.
In fact, at different heights you notice how the resistance to separation of the layers changes.
This very simple model that I propose is a very particular print that is made by model and not by layers in order to have testers with layers of different heights on a plate.
In fact, on the two plates you will find the block where exactly to place the recess of the sticks to test their resistance and the 6 sticks themselves printed but in the different heights proposed by bambulab studio (orca slicer etc) i.e. 0.08,0.12,0.16,0.20,0.24 and 0.28.

In addition to being able to manually test the resistance and choose according to your sensations which height gives the best results, with this model you could use a very common kitchen scale and carry out the test on its plate and note the weight at which the stick breaks and obtain a less empirical and less "personal" response.

Here an exemple of how to read the force applied to break the stick. I've found a better adhesion with 0.16 and 0.20 layers.
Surprised about the fact of having 0.28 layers stick as the most delicate one… what about your tries ?

It would be very nice if, once you have carried out your tests, you could comment on your results indicating the brand and type of filament, the temperature and the nozzle used and, finally, your impressions/measurements according to the heights of the layers.

I hope to have once again provided a tool that can prove useful to all of us 3D printing enthusiasts.

Hugs and happy printing, pals!!
