Added a v1_1 version that add a light blocking ring around the top of each floor. ensures no light leakage, and improves assembled model stability
This model is marked as original due to Makerworld requirements, but is a derivative ( with written permission from the original author ) of [https://makerworld.com/en/models/174964](https://makerworld.com/en/models/174964) from VogMan [https://vegoilguy.co.uk/](https://vegoilguy.co.uk/)
It is a deck post topper to give a bit of character to the bulwarks of your home domain.
It takes a drop in 7cm ( 2.75 inch ) flange with a 62 mm body solar light puck such as [https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B096XG3LCC](https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B096XG3LCC)
It is intended to be attached to an off the shelf 4x4 inch metal post cap such as [https://www.homedepot.ca/product/metal-caps-4-in-x-4-in-black-galvanized-metal-post-caps/1000744986](https://www.homedepot.ca/product/metal-caps-4-in-x-4-in-black-galvanized-metal-post-caps/1000744986)
Drill a 6 mm hole in the center of the post cap and then tap a M5 thread into the printed base section of the model and use a 12mm M5 hex bolt to attach the cap to the base.
Window inserts drop / clip in and are fully retained once assembled. It is intended to minimize the risk of this being a home for your local wasp vagrants. The window plate should be printed WITHOUT brims, the initial upload briefly had brims on the window inserts, that was then removed and uploaded again.
All sections clip together. Careful not to over flex the clip tabs, though everything has been strengthened and flexing minimised.
Castle Top piece has “splash holes” pass throughs. implemented for water drainage.
Thanks again to Vogman for the beautiful no support model on which this is based.
Note total print time quoted by makerworld is 2x due to the “all floors” plate. ~11 hrs total print for all floors and inserts.
