[BETA] Modular Hexagon Light Diffusers (Vanity/Bathroom)

This is a set of modular building blocks that combined create a light diffuser to cover unsightly light bulbs in places like bathroom vanities and other similar household and office locations with exposed bulbs.

These blocks are designed to hang from ceiling mounted hooks adhere using Command Strips or similar double sided foam or gel tape.

If there is interest I can add screw mounting options.

Instructions to use: Please read completely before printing:

1. Measure the area you would like to cover (in the example photos I covered the entire area even though the bulbs were only in the center)
2. Decide how many blocks you'd like to use, each is 9.5" (240mm) wide.
   1. e.g. if your area is 4ft (48") then a maximum of 4 would fit within the space, or 5 would fit wider than the space.
3. The blocks nest side-by-side with eachother, and there are 2 variants in 3 styles:
   1. A - Wide Blocks - these have the hexagons outer extents facing forward
   2. B - Narrow Blocks - these have the hexagons outer extents facing inward
   3. You'll use the blocks in a back and forth pattern: A, B, A, B, A, B etc. you cannot use two As or two Bs side by side, or else they will not nest with a straight front edge (though you can do some deliberate designs that could be cool!)
4. If you would like the sides of the diffuser to also cover the bulbs, use the ‘End Cap’ blocks in the Print Profile, there is an A and a B block, for both Left and Right side options.
5. 3D Print the blocks you need, and the mounting hardware in the quantity needed (2 individual hooks per block, or 1 A or B pre-aligned installation bracket per block) the ‘Mounting Hardware’ profile includes a set of 5 of each, you can add/remove as needed.
6. Once 3D printed, test fit the blocks - an easy way is to use paperclips to hold the blocks together side-by-side (up to 5 blocks, any more will be too heavy and could fall while test fitting if doing it by yourself, ask a friend to help if test fitting more than 5 blocks.)
7. Print the mounting hardware in the quantity needed - the pre-aligned brackets take a lot of the work out of the equation.
8. When ready, mount the round-hole hooks to the furthest hexagon columns using Command Strips or other double sided foam or gel tape. Do not use plain double-sided tape, it will not be strong enough and fall apart. The round-hole hooks can also be glued.

9. Using Command strips adhere the brackets or individual hooks to the ceiling and test fit a block, then the next until you've filled the space.
10. If you need additional height to reach your ceiling, please measure the distance you'd like between the block and the ceiling and let me know via a comment here and I can redesign hooks to fit, or you can use tinkerCAD, Fusion or other CAD apps to modify the brackets/hooks.
