BattleTech Unit Storage System (USS)

I've been playing Battletech for too many years now and have built up a collection of Mechs. I wanted to create a way for storing them easily and that was compatible with my Bambu Lab 3D Printer. I've created a two colour version to take advantage of the AMS, with the USS logo and title coloured differently.

The system supports both Lance's, Star's, aerospace flights and individual mechs with a half height box for combat vehicles and a 2/3 size box for Protomechs. The boxes can be stacked on top to each other and have small studs to enable this, with a lid to cover an individual box or the top of a stack.  As requested I've created an XL Lance Box that is 70mm vs 62.5mm, for use with very tall Mechs.

You can secure the mechs in place by either resting the mech in the hex holder, gluing in a Hex Insert (M5 / M6 or 3mm / 6mm magnets) to match your mech base or use the USS Catalyst Mechs Inset for official GCL mechs.

Hex Inserts
These inserts push/glue into the Hex holders to enable connections to Magnetic Hex Bases and support different approaches.

• USS Hex Add-ins Magnetic (3x1mm)
• USS Hex Add-ins M5 10mm
• USS Hex Add-ins M6 30mm Penny
• USS Hex Add-ins 6x2mm Magnetic
• USS Catalyst Mech Insert

The M6 30mm Penny big enough to support most magnetic bases, however I've designed the Magnetic and M5x10mm to support these specific bases Magnetic Battletech Hex Bases from MiniHulkMechs, thanks Steve.  

The USS Catalyst Mech Insert will lock the standard Catalyst Games Lab hex base in place for storage.

Connector

I've added an additional file that contains a small connector you can use to link boxes horizontally to create a more secure set of longer term storage.  Basically I nudged a box off my shelf and broke a Masakari in half…
