Modelo 3D Light up Charmander por Away Sea Designs no MakerWorld

Descrição

Bring some light to your desk or bedside table with this battery operated pocket pal! Based on the classic original Pokemon card design, Charmander is here to keep you company as you work, read, or even if you need some extra light at night.

The below instructions require some soldering however, in theory any string lights that fit through the cable hole in Charmander's tail will work (hole diameter is 8mm). If you don't fancy messing around with lights, the model can still be printed as a fun display piece.

*Model in attached photos has been painted.

Materials required:

CA glue

LED filament 130mm (3V)

x2 AA batteries

Switched battery box x2AA (3V)

x2 alligator clip cables (1 red and 1 black - not necessary but makes it easier to keep track)

Solder

Soldering iron

Wire cutters/strippers

Assembly instructions:

  1. Glue Charmander to the base, making sure the hole in the base matches up with the hole in Charmander's foot.

  2. While the glue is drying, test the LED filament works by connecting to the battery box via the alligator clip cables - red for positive and black to ground. (The red positive cable should connect to the end of the LED filament that has a tiny hole.)

  3. Once you're happy that everything is working as it should, remove the batteries from the pack and snip the alligator heads off both ends of the cables to leave you with two long cables.

  4. Strip approx 5mm of the plastic off each end of both cables to leave you with some exposed wire.

  5. Solder the red cable to the red cable on the battery box.

  6. Solder the black cable to the black cable on the battery box.

  7. Feed the connected cables through the hole in the base, and up through Charmander's tail until they come out the hole in the tip. (If the cables are too long at this point, cut to an appropriate size)

  8. Solder the red cable to the end of the LED filament with the tiny hole

  9. Solder the black cable to the other end of the LED filament

  10. Feed the filament into the inside of Charmander's flame.

  11. Fit the flame into the socket at the tip of Charmander's tail. It should be a tight fit.

  12. Put batteries back in battery box and slot the box into the cradle in the base.

  13. When you switch the box back on, you should have a light up Charmander!
