Modelo 3D Maze Cube por Fat Moai no MakerWorld

Descrição

The Maze Cube is a 3D-printed, interactive puzzle toy designed in the shape of a cube. The primary objective of the puzzle is to navigate a small metal ball bearing through a series of interconnected pathways from one side of the cube to the other. The cube consists of four distinct layers, each with its own set of mazes that the ball must pass through. The design challenges the user to solve the labyrinth by tilting and turning the cube, guiding the ball through the complex internal structure.

Key Features:

  • Four-Layered Maze: The maze is divided into four floors, each with its own unique pathways. As the player maneuvers the cube, the ball bearing drops from one floor to the next, adding depth and complexity to the puzzle.
  • Visible Pathways: The cube includes additional openings on its external walls, allowing players to peek inside and observe the internal structure of the maze. These openings are strategically placed to offer visual clues and aid in solving the puzzle, as users can track the position of the ball.
  • Metal Ball Bearing: The metal ball bearing is slightly smaller than the maze's corridors, allowing it to move freely but still requiring careful control. The player must tilt and rotate the cube to guide the ball through twists, turns, and drops across the four floors without the ball getting stuck.
  • Engaging Puzzle Design: The cube's internal structure is intricate and designed to challenge the player's spatial awareness and problem-solving skills. The maze features dead ends, false paths, and narrow passageways, requiring patience and precision to navigate. Each level adds a new layer of complexity, ensuring that solving the puzzle remains engaging from start to finish.

Objective: The goal of the Maze Cube is to successfully guide the metal ball bearing from the entrance to the exit, located on opposite sides of the cube. The puzzle requires a combination of strategy, skill, and patience to navigate through the multiple layers of the labyrinth.

Printing Tips for Maze Cube on FDM Printers:

While the Maze Cube prints successfully on resin printers due to their precision and detail, printing on FDM printers can present some challenges such as stringing and excessive cleanup after printing. To address these issues, I encourage users to experiment with different print settings and orientations to achieve the best results. My knowledge about slicing is insuficient to make it 100% foolproof :(

I'd like you to share your recommended setups for the Maze Cube, including the optimal orientation on the print bed, and any additional tweaks that improved their print quality.

Ah! One more thing! You'll need a standard 8mm (5/16in.) ball bearing for this project.
