I wanted to print a bunch of Josh-3D's small parts storage boxes and a tray for them, but unfortunately Josh's tray design didn't fit my K1's print bed, so I made my own.
In the process, I've also made it more compact, so although it is 4x4 units rather than 5x4, it still fits 2 rows of 6 boxes. It's also 1U shorter - I've found this does not impact stackability.
This has also lead to reduced filament usage (I used 3 walls, 2 top and bottom layers and 10% gyroid infill for a total of ~220g, whereas the original tray would use up about 330g with my settings).
I thought they would be more difficult to get out, but because there is a little bit of tolerance on all sides, the adjacent rows just get out of the way enough that they're easy to grab even with a fully populated tray.
I chose to print my boxes in orange PLA and the tray in black PLA and they both turned out great.
I have made no changes to the boxes themselves, they are the exact same as the original, as they print great and are a great design.
