My male cat loves to get into scraps with other animals and this usually ends up in a veterinarian visit where we get antibiotics in pill form.

unlike dogs where you can pocket a pill in a hot dog slice the cat is a little bit smarter. Our experience has been that liquefying the pill and using a syringe can get messy and most of the time only part of the dose gets taken. That birthed the Pill Popper inspired by other tools i have seen to push a pill to the back of the throat where the pet swallows it and gets a full dose then looks at you with a look of What the hay just happened. its recommended that you have water handy after pushing the pill.

I made 2 plates and printed both successfully.

PLATE 1: less than 30 minute print time with supports

The first plate features the tool laying in a horizontal position so as to print as fast as possible a little under 30 minutes the only kicker is it has tree supports and requires minor post processing. I remove the end supports first there is one that is painted on the inside to support the finger and pulls out by hand pretty easily. I only used my hand to pull the supports off the end. the inside supports are able to be removed by pushing the shaft down the tube. I knock the first one then retract then the second one retract then the third and retract then push them out the end.

PLATE 2: a little over an hour print time with a brim and NO SUPPORTS

This on prints very slow and clean

Instructions for use:

insert the pill down the tube then insert the shaft so that it rests just behind the pill. have someone hold the pet then place your other hand at the pets jaw. Use your fingers and thumb with a slight pressure to the jawbone area to have them open up and say aaaaa then quickly place the end of the popper in their mouth towards the back of the tongue and push the end to insert the pill then quickly step back from your pet.
