This Spaghetti container and portion measure was inspired by the original packaging being too flimsy once opened and often spilling the pasta inside the kitchen cupboard.

The top caps are sized to measure 1 or 2 portions when tipping out the pasta. The container has an internal partition that will accept two 500g packets of dry spaghetti.

I have tested 3 different types of Spaghetti (Aldi) that will fit into the container, one can be open for use and the other can remain sealed in its packaging.

I printed all of the parts in PETG because it is supposed to be more food safe than PLA. Although, if the pasta is in any container, it’s better than spilling inside the cupboard!

The main tube is exactly the maximum height that can be printed on my Bambu P1S. (250mm). The top extension adds enough height to allow the length of the packets of pasta. The top is keyed to the main tube to align the centre partition. The joining screw ring must be placed over the top extension and turned clockwise over the lip. Then screwed onto the main tube.

I tried the random scarf seam feature to avoid ugly seams on all of the parts. Please experiment and let me know your results.

I printed all of the parts with a layer height of 0.16. Only the Top Extension needs supports I used Auto Tree supports with a brim. The Locking Ring and Caps should be printed upside down so they do not need supports.

I have printed the joining screw ring and caps in a different colour, but any combination of colours that match your kitchen is possible. I look forward to seeing your designs.
