Update 4: Added an improved, stronger shaft/post, some assembly and adhesive required but this part is entirely optional. 

Update 3: Added new print profile for four new shapes at user request, pentagon, rectangle, oval, and trapezoid. If you have any additional ideas or requests please feel free to share, I appreciate all the feedback! 

Update 2: Added new print profile with a 2 part screw / threaded rod.

My child had a lot of fun using a similar toy at the YMCA, so I gave it a shot at modeling my own from scratch in Tinkercad.

I know the thread works decent with a 0.20mm layer height and 0.40mm nozzle, but I am not sure about other combinations.
