And here comes the last (at least for now) modular element for the P1 and X1 series.

As I had already anticipated, this element is used to place your LED strips to have optimal lighting inside the printer (or, if you are already satisfied with the factory lighting then you can use it as the simplest of the upper glass raisers).

For my X1C I ordered THIS multicolored LED STRIP (link) on "Ali", equipped with a Bluetooth control that can also be easily used from a mobile phone.
On the site you have more choices regarding the number of LEDs per meter and the length of the strip itself.

To complete the internal perimeter you will need at least a 2 meters strip.
 

I also chose the higher LED density to test the heat developed by this type of lighting (WS2812B type addressable LEDs) and the energy used. Obviously the choice of LEDs depends on you and what you want to achieve. Even a simple white monochromatic stripe could be right for you. The stripes from Maker's supply can do well the job too !!

ATTENTION:

• LEDs, although they consume relatively little energy, need a certain amperage to provide good lighting and even more if you want to obtain different effects. THEREFORE, for safety's sake, I ADVISE NOT to connect any LED strips to the USB sockets that may be inside the printer itself if you do not want to create absorption problems and risk burning the components.
• SOME LEDs (like the ones I used ) are subject to heating and therefore the frame must be printed using at least PETG or any material with a higher Glass transition temperature. PLA could warp and you risk damaging your machine.
