Filament spool shelves

Wall-mounted filament spool shelves. They use spaced wooden dowels to hold the filament and are screwed in to the wall at equal spacings to evenly distribute the weight of your spools. 

Bill of materials

• Wooden rod / wooden dowel, either 18mm or 20mm in diameter
• Mounting hardware to mount to your wall
  • If you have drywall / plasterboard you will need specific mounting hardware for this - I used M3 “molly bolts”.
  • I'd reccomend at least one of your brackets is placed on a stud, in which case a normal screw should be used
  • No specific length are given as it may vary depending on your setup, you are able to drill out the holes slightly if a larger diameter screw or bolt is required
• Small screws to screw through the bracket in to the dowel, this stops them spinning around 

Reccomended print settings:

• Layer Height: 0.2mm
• Infill percentage: 20%
• Infill pattern: Gyroid
• Print orientation: Print flat againt the build surface

Other notes

This can be used in combination with the original “Filament Spool Shelf system - V2” design to add extra support. This avoids you having to take the whole system apart given it's an open design, the dowel doesn't needed to be threaded through the hole and can be brought up from underneath and attached.
