V2 Update – Flight Optimized

After several tests and improvements to the original design, here comes the new version of my airless Nerf-like vortex, developed to achieve a more stable and effective flight compared to V1.

Main changes

• Added weight to the front section
  The balance has been shifted forward to improve flight stability and reduce wobbling.
• Fully closed tail section
  The hexagonal openings from V1 have been removed, creating a more compact and aerodynamic rear section.
• Slightly twisted rear fins
  The fins now feature a slight twist to help generate spin during flight, improving trajectory and overall control.

This V2 was specifically designed to improve the aerodynamic performance of the original project, since the first version was mainly focused on aesthetics and did not provide satisfying flight performance.

It should still be noted that, being an airless/open design, its aerodynamic efficiency cannot fully match that of a completely enclosed and optimized traditional vortex design. Even so, the changes introduced in V2 noticeably improve stability and flight behavior compared to the previous version.

Note about V1

V1 will still remain available on the page as an aesthetic/display version, while this new V2 is the recommended version for better flight performance.
