This is the ultimate, overengineered, ergonomic bed scraper. Designed from scratch to be comfortable, practical and strong, this scraper will make an excellent centrepiece among your essential 3D printer tools.

The handle has been designed to be comfortable in the hand while having the look and feel of a premium, machined tool handle. The blades screw securely into the handle allowing replacement blades to be printed and replaced as needed.

The blades are designed to be rigid, with relief on the underside, so they release easily from the build plate after a printing. A flex of the build plate once cool should allow them to come free easily without flexing themselves. The edges of the blades are also reinforced to resist wear and avoid damage while removing them from the build plate.

All parts will print completely without supports and profiles have been provided for both multicolour and single colour prints, as well as for replacement blades only.

For best results I recommend using the provided profiles or the following settings:

In addition to these settings, I also set the seam position to random with scarf join seams. A modifer was also set to apply a fuzzy skin to the ball of the handle (0.6mm point distance, 0.2mm skin thickness).
